It is getting harder and harder to get a free domain provider with a quality nowadays. The main cause of this is because web hosting becomes cheaper and cheaper every day. But for starters, you might want to establish a web presence without spending any amount of money just yet (testing the water of some sort 
). For the first year or maybe the first few months of starting a site online, getting a free hosting proved to be useful.
The main consideration before getting a free web hosting is whether the hosting provides upgrade scheme so that you can expand your storage size and bandwidth without more works of re-uploading all the site's file to another hosting. Secondly is to make sure whether the hosting provides enough storage space and bandwidth in the beginning. And third is whether the hosting provides the scripting engines that you would use for your website (such as PHP, ASP, mySQL, postgreSQL, etc.). Last but not least is whether it provides a user interface that helps out the process of setting up your website (most of the web hosting available would use a software called cpanel to do this function). Other consideration might include whether it provides webmails, free templates and FTP server to further ease the website creation process.

As a customer once, I have seen a lot of aggressive marketers out there. Basically, the products are shoved under your nose and nudged you to buy them. For a while now, I hated this way of marketing, especially coupled with the terms "time is running out" and "2 more hours to go before this offer ends" and what happened, 3 days later, these product is still on the shelf and running the same advert "2 more hours to go".
True that this will invoke customers urgency and true that some of these product really ARE going offline in 2 hours time. But after getting used to these kind of advertisement, customer will think (more...)
